Business Development Manager

We love our clients and want the best for them. Relationships are at the core of everything we do at Footprint Digital. We work hard to build exceptional relationships with our clients. This role is where it all starts.

You will become an integral part of the team and an important part of the Footprint Digital system. You will be the first point of contact with a client that is looking to improve their digital performance. You will take them on the journey to understand how digital can help their business grow.

Your role as the Business Development Manager is to start the relationship by converting new business leads into revenue.

 

The Digital Marketing Audit Process

We don’t like to shoot from the hip. Instead we undertake a digital marketing audit for all potential new clients. Produced by our technical team this process allows us to thoroughly appraise the clients’ current web performance and genuinely recommend the best course of action for them.

You role will be to guide clients through the following process…

We start with an initial consultation (usually by telephone) to understand more about the aims and objectives of the business.

Then our team of technical marketing experts from the Analytics, SEO, PPC and CRO disciplines spend 24 hours manually reviewing the current digital marketing performance. They are on the lookout for areas that could be radically improved.

The results are presented through a series of reports that combine to make the Digital Marketing Audit. Your role is to relate this to the client and lay out a strategy that will help them achieve things that they never thought possible.

Where will I work?

Under current COVID-19 guidance our team is working from home. We are a very close knit supportive team and we really miss spending time together! In time we will phase back into a co-working office space. You will be working from home throughout COVID with the option to work in our Central London office or at our Head Office in Colchester after COVID.

What you need

Successful applicants for the role must share our values. The perfect candidate will come with experience working in the digital agency world. They will have exceptional presentation delivery skills, emotional intelligence, rapport building skills and project management skills alongside the ability to spot opportunities and ultimately generate leads.

Based in London with occasional visits to our office in Colchester

Your working day will typically be standard office hours, Monday to Friday. Normally the role would be 4 days per week out of the office in meetings and one day in the office. It will return to this in the future. In the meantime the entire role will be working from home. Once we feel it is safe we will invite you to visit our office in Colchester a few times a month for ongoing education.
