A Student’s Final Day at Footprint

Published on July 7, 2017 by Alex Eade

Today, I walked in the office with a heavy heart as I knew it was my last day at Footprint. Although one week is very short, I feel I have settled in quite well within the office. I entered the office with some chocolates and a card to say thank you for such a great week. Everyone was really excited about the chocolates and Hannah was looking for a place to put the chocolates down where no-one would eat them all. It was a great Friday treat for everyone after the hectic week they had, especially since they had me to look after.

The rest of the day was pretty quiet as the whole team were immersed in their work, working hard as always despite the fact that it was a Friday. I, too, was caught up with posts and interview questions to write so it was a pretty productive day for all of us.

Then the time came to present my presentation on what I’ve learned this week. Although it was nerve-racking having to present to the whole team, I still felt comfortable and I did not feel any sense of pressure when the team were asking me questions. It was a calm atmosphere and it provided a little break from everyone’s desk for a while. And that was it. It was the last task I had to fulfil at Footprint, even though it was short but sweet.

Footprint, you have been enormously supportive, helpful and friendly during the week and I could not have asked for more. I wish you all the luck in the future and I hope to meet you all again soon!
