About the client

The client is in the primary education industry, selling lesson plans and other classroom learning resources like worksheets. They do this across most subject areas, excluding core Maths and English.

The project brief

The client needed increased visibility and brand awareness amongst teaching staff. They also had an added challenge that we needed to combat as a core competitor has secured government funding so that schools could get their lesson plans part funded. The quality of these plans was much lower than our clients, but also much cheaper. Therefore, we had to focus on highlighting the quality and usefulness of our client’s products.

Our approach

Paid Media Support

We focused on showcasing the superior quality of their educational products through targeted paid ads, content, and case studies. Initially, they faced challenges competing with free online resources. To address this, we emphasised the unique value of their paid offerings and tailored campaigns on platforms like LinkedIn and Google Ads.

We refined audience targeting, particularly on LinkedIn, reaching specific job roles in education, and on Google we optimised keyword strategies. This led to a significant boost in performance, with click through rate improving from 2.21% to 15.1% and conversion rates increasing from 1.05% to 3.35%.

Our subject-specific campaigns identified Key Stage 1 and 2, Art and Design, and Music as top performers, driving consistent leads and increasing free trials from 30 to over 150 per month. Through strategic segmentation and ongoing optimisations, the client achieved strong, consistent results in both reach and lead quality.

SEO Support

Our primary focus from an SEO standpoint has been on ensuring technical compliance and optimising data tracking, with significant emphasis on Google Analytics 4. We identified and resolved issues with inaccurate data reporting, particularly related to organic traffic, and enhanced data layer integration to improve the depth of analytics insights.

As a result, we achieved a 31% year-on-year increase in clicks from organic search, with keyword rankings growing from 3,333 to 4,125 year-on-year.
