Mark Carter – Director of Operations, Marketing and Sales

Mark has been working in the digital field for the last 23 years. With the beginnings of the web, he moved into website design and SEO. For the next 10 years in the UK and the Far East, Mark worked both agency side and in-house, supporting businesses in maximising their returns from digital marketing and via their website and call centre distribution channels.

He moved to Singapore in 2010, focused on growing businesses across both B2C and B2B2C, first in a startup, and later in a global corporation. His last 6 and half years were spent heading up digital performance and transformation for Allianz Partners across the Asia Pacific region.

Now back in the UK, Mark says: “I am thrilled to take on a new role at Footprint Digital. I am delighted to find a company driven by a commitment to people centric values, and with such a strong track record of delivering value to its customers through humanising digital. It’s great to be on board, and I am looking forward to using my experience to help our clients grow and to support Footprint Digital to write the next chapter of its story!”

Mark grew up in London, at a time when playing in WW2 bomb sites was still common, with a toilet in a shed at the bottom of the garden, and with no bathroom or hot water in the house. Somehow he eventually found himself living and working across Asia Pacific, driving businesses in a multitude of countries, amongst the most amazing cultures and people, and with a tropical beach 5 minutes from home.

Along that journey, he’s been a teacher, musician, martial artist, meditation teacher, Tai Chi instructor, an activist, bookworm, dreamer, father, devoted husband, son, and a whole bunch more. He says: “It’s been a beautiful roller coaster ride, through endless rich experiences. I’ve been blessed to learn so much from so many people.”
