There is Nothing You Can’t Achieve – Bouchra Baibanou

Bouchra Baibanou’s outlook is a key inspiration for Footprint Digital’s culture.

“I want to prove to everyone that dreams can come true. All we need to realise them is will and enough preparation” – Bouchra Baibanou

We couldn’t agree more! Here’s our story…

Director Tom Bowden met Bouchra whilst hiking up Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. Stood at the top together she explained to the group that she wanted to be the first African woman to climb the seven summits – the largest peaks across the 7 continents. She was met with a mixture of responses. Half of the hiking group claimed she wouldn’t be able to do it; “you’re too old”, “you’ve got no money”, “you’re a woman”.

The other half, including Tom, leapt to her defence. They loved Bouchra’s outlook and belief that there is nothing people can’t achieve with the right mindset and preparation.

At the time, Footprint Digital was only a small agency, without an abundance of cash at its disposal. In spite of this, we were able to gather a small sum, and were proud to be able to sponsor Bouchra and her hiking dream.

Months later, Bouchra completed her sixth mountain. Everest.

It was this outlook – the grit, determination and motivation to achieve her dreams that Tom and his team loved.

Our passion to help Bouchra achieve her goals is the same approach that Footprint Digital takes with our clients to reach theirs. The belief that there is nothing that people can’t achieve is what Footprint wants their employees, partners, suppliers and their clients to share.

The idea that there is nothing people can’t achieve is at the core of the Footprint Digital team’s beliefs and values. It drives the team to deliver more to their clients, through specialist knowledge, education and a variety of services on offer. We always want to help our clients achieve their goals, to reach mountain summits of their own, just as Bouchra achieved hers.

Wouldn’t The World be a better place if everyone approached it with her fearless optimism and enthusiasm? We think so.
